There are many questions and curiosity about what is Dualism? In English language, this sexual orientation is called bisexual. I have been a victim of harassment being a bisexual person myself. It is possible for both men and women.
It is worth mentioning that these people’s mentality is operated by the religion. Religion, Quran, Bibel, Tripitaka, Gita are all actually man-made element of hypocrisy. But it is not easy to understand or eliminate this. If I had power, I would have eliminated Allah, Prophet, Jesus, Moses in overnight. But it is unfortunate that I do not have that power.
Let’s learn a bit about bisexuality and homosexuality in Bangladesh. Homosexuality is generally a ban on Bangladeshi Islamic fundamentalist civil society and government. In Bangladesh, there is less scope for common discussion about homosexuality. However, in recent years, I feel that more hatred has been borne to the Bangladeshi mind-set towards homosexuality.
India is a neighbouring country of Bangladesh. There is not so much of Islamist outrage like Bangladesh. Yet the Hindu fundamentalists are active there. According to a German news agency, Deutsche Welle, it is revealed that recently, Sonali Bose believes that her new film ‘Margarita with a Straw’ will have some impact on traditional mind-set of Indian society. The subject of homosexuality and bisexuality is reflected in the film well.
This movie was shown on the Toronto Film Festival in September. The story of the film is related to a teenager girl affected by Cerebral Palsy. This girl is hesitant about her own sexuality. In this case, the director of this film has tried to raise the issue of what happens to a girl of a middle-class conservative family.
Director Sonali Bose lives in the United States and mentioned herself as a bisexual. She said that the movie planning work came from her own experience. has come about the topic of ‘sexuality’ and one of her relatives, who has cerebral palsy.
In this film, a girl named Laila was shown who suffers from cerebral palsy but falls in love with another woman. Sonali has tried to explain the story of her love in different ways in this film.
Sonali has been thinking about the movie screenplay for the last two years. She said, “The girl’s mother has faced difficult problem for the sexuality of her daughter Laila – as shown on this film. After watching the movie at the Toronto Festival, many Indians came to me and praised the film. I know it must had a strike on their mind-set.”
This film will be released in India in the beginning of next year. Sonali said earlier, all those films which were released in India on homosexuality, have faced anger, been protested and later they were banned.
Even after all this, India has at least shown courage to release such movie. But is it illusive to think about such movie in a country like Bangladesh, the country of uneducated Islamic fundamentalists? The answer is yes, it is illusive. A few days ago, I found out that a travel fiction documentary was blocked by the censor board just because of a rainbow, the sign of LGBT. This is the condition of Islamic savages. A travel fiction documentary was blocked just because of a symbol of homosexuals. Where is the end of this misery and superstition?
